Dier Makr (pronounced die-er make-er), opened December 2016, is an intimate degustation menu focussed restaurant and wine bar in the heart of Hobart’s CBD. We offer everything from after-work drinks, to an evening with friends or family, or creative house cocktails to a take-away bottle of wine from our uniquely stocked cellar. With a $75 per person tasting menu, we focus on local, fresh and seasonal ingredients, working proudly with Tasmanian producers to ensure only the best quality creations end up on your plate.
Dier Makr’s wine list - available by the glass or bottle - centres on wines produced with minimal intervention by the winemakers. With small amounts, to zero added chemicals, most of our wines are produced in vineyards that employ organic and/or biodynamic vinification practises.
All of our wines are available in house or retail from our walk-in wine cellar, where you will find our knowledgable staff ready to assist in making the perfect selection for you.
